Employment Application

Thank you for your interest in Refinery Terminal Fire Company. RTFC accepts applications on a daily basis and all applications received are dated and put into our “Active” file.

Active applications are retained for the earlier of one year from date on the application or until the applicant begins the hiring process (successfully passes the physical agility test, etc.) Only completed and active applications will be reviewed for available positions. Individuals who begin the hiring process, but who are not offered positions, may not resubmit an application for 6 months.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to keep their application updated and renewed on a timely basis. Applications are accepted for Firefighter Trainee positions available in the Corpus Christi, Houston, and Port Arthur, Tx. area and anywhere else that RTFC is located.

Job Requirements:

• are at least 18 years of age;
• Possess a High School Diploma or State recognized equivalent (GED);
• Possess a valid Driver’s License with good driving record;
• All applicants must be able to verify eligibility to work in the United States.
• EMT certification is preferred, but not a requirement

You MUST attach to your application copies of the following: current driver’s license, copy of High School diploma with transcript; if attended college, copy of college transcript; DD-214 if served in the military; all current certifications of training (i.e. EMT-B; EMT-P; CPR; Texas Commission on Fire Protection; etc.) You may also attach a resume, if you so desire.

All properly completed applications will be reviewed and screened in accordance with current applicant standards and necessary minimum qualifications. Applicants that do not meet the recruitment standards or who submit an incomplete application will not be considered.
